"Economic Democracy, Economic Prosperity"

"Economic Democracy, Economic Prosperity"
Democratic socialism is a political ideology which believes strongly in the right of the workers to control their labor. Democratic socialists are opposed both to the authoritarian Communism of the old USSR and the capitalism in the United States which is, by nature, undemocratic. In capitalism, the living condition of the workers are determined by those on the top, those who get rich benefitting from the labor of others. Democratic socialism proposes a different approach, one of power equality and workers controlling their own destinies. Stewart Alexander will stand for this in the Washington should he be elected president. To all the workers and voters in the United States: Elect Stewart Alexander President in 2012.

"Too Little, Too Late": The Socialist Response to the State of the Union

From the Socialist Webzine:
The phrase that came to mind immediately upon hearing President Barack Obama’s State of the Union speech is “too little, too late.” After spending the last few years coddling the banks and the richest 1%, Obama has the nerve to now call for “economic fairness.” To him, this means tweaking payroll taxes and making a rhetorical call to reverse the Bush tax cuts for the rich. For working people in America real fairness means the right to a job, a guarantee of healthcare for all and an end to the Military Industrial Complex. Obama won’t deliver this. That’s why I am running for President against him.

Ron Paul: Simply Another Voice of the Establishment

As Billy Wharton, co-chair of the Socialist Party USA, stated in an article published today in the Socialist Webzine, Ron Paul, despite his masquerading as a candidate outside of Establishment politics, is in reality simply an unvarnished voice of the Establishment. Paul may not want to wage wars overseas; he wants to put troops on our border with Mexico. Paul may not want to engage in crony capitalism; he prefers capitalist exploitation straight-up and laissez-faire. Stewart Alexander and Alex Mendozza present a true alternative to Establishment politics. Vote for a socialist in 2012, not a libertarian capitalist.

Stewart Alexander on Occupy Wall Street Raids

From The Socialist, the Socialist Party USA's official publication:
"Remember well who is behind these assaults on you; these are the men and women who are bought and sold like commodities by corporations. These are not just Republican officials, but also the Democratic Party that are assaulting your rights to free speech. Your calls for social and economic justice do not sit well with the owners. When the Democrats try to sweet talk you into believing they support the 99%: forget their words and remember their actions"
Vote for the candidate that truly represents the 99%, not the candidate that pays lip service to the 99%.
